Peyton to Miami

It looks like the Dolphins fans are really going to make a push for their front office to make a big move and sign Peyton Manning.

Is it a great idea for a franchise to make Peyton their quarterback for the next 3 to 5 years?

Maybe, maybe not. Certainly, Peyton’s health issues loom large.

I think you have to look at it on a franchise-by-franchise basis. In this case, I really see little for Miami to lose, and much to gain, in taking the risk to sign Peyton (while paying him his worth). The Dolphins are trying to turn the corner as a franchise, and seeing #18 in Miami would really make Brandon Marshall’s eyes wide.

In a city with a “what have you done for me lately” fan base, a move like this would certainly put fans in the stands.
