Chipper Jones and Trevor Hoffman
Larry Wayne, Jr., more commonly referred to as Chipper Jones, continued his farewell tour last night as the Braves traveled to San Diego. As a lot of other organizations have, the Padres – and Trevor Hoffman – gave Chipper a farewell gift.
As you can see above, Trevor presented Chipper with an honorary surfboard for his time well spent in the MLB. Not too shabby.
I don’t know about all of you, but the weeks immediately following Shark Week are the weeks I most want to pick up surfing in the south Pacific Ocean.
Ray Lewis and Michael Phelps
A murderer and a pothead on the same field! Just kidding, you guys. Since we live in the city, we see these types daily!
Okay, okay, the some e-cards are a little played out. But since this one made me giggle like a little school boy, I just had to share.
According to reports out of Sacramento, as well as Norfolk, VA, the NBA’s Kings are on the move.
There has been a ton of speculation on this topic for the past few seasons, but I can honestly say I never imagined the team would relocate to Virginia Beach, of all places.
Reportedly, the relocation of the Kings would include a 25 year lease, guaranteed by Comcast, on a new arena to be built near the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
I know the topic might be beat to death over the next few days, but I thought I would post this in the case that you still get your “sports” coverage from ESPN, since we know SportsCenter, or JetsCenter, rather, won’t be delving away from Tim Tebow coverage anytime soon.
The full report is here.
If you believed that headline, even if only for a second, kindly invite your palm up to your face. Go ahead and keep it there, too.
You’ll never believe it, you guys, but I’ve come out on top in my last two betting escapades. That’s right, no moving in with Mom and Dad. We collectively breathed a sigh of relief – one part Chicago, two parts Connecticut.
Seeing as I’ve dug myself out of the red gutter, I am almost certain to lose any bet that I place today. So, who’s with me?
Reds (+1.5) at Phillies
Yankees (+1.5) at White Sox
Astros at Cardinals (-1.5)
A lot of grimacing, but it still gave me a lot of chills. Good job, good effort, Adidas.
